How do I set up Okta SSO?

Below are instructions for configuring your company's Okta for connection to Visit.org. Employees will be able to register to events in one click with their Okta account, and sign in to Visit.org from their Okta dashboard.

Important: Your company must already be using Okta for this page to be relevant. 

Instructions

  1. As a Visit.org client, sign in to your Okta account.
  2. Browse the app catalog for Visit.org.
  3. Add the Visit.org app.
  4. On the Sign On tab, in the bottom right, click to View SAML Setup Instructions.
  5. Follow the instructions for sending the below fields to your Visit.org Client Success Manager, or our client success team at clientsuccess@visit.org. You must provide this information to Visit.org to complete the setup.
    • IDP Issuer/Entity ID
    • Login URL/SSO URL
    • x509 Certificate
  6. Wait for an email from Visit.org confirming those fields are entered into the Visit.org platform.
  7. Connect via Okta and enjoy!

Important: Make sure you assign the Visit.org app to all employees in your Okta account to ensure all team members can sign in.
